I would love to have been in an audience back in 1905 or thereabouts and seen the reaction to some of these. Thanks for posting them. They are wonderful.

Why did you remove "Under The Seas"? I would have liked to get that one too. I already have "Good Glue Sticks", though.

I didn't remove it. It got lost, along with Good Glue Sticks, somehow, somewhere in the intertubes. I plan to re-upload it soon.

When you're ready to put it up, I'll be ready to download it. I find the works of Melies fascinating, as brief as they are.

IA must hate Under the Seas. After I uploaded it, I checked to see that it was in it's folder on the server using my FTP client. It was. Everything was Ok until it's webpage was created. *sigh* I'll try again...

Hey, Mr. Barstad, what's up? I notice every time I read this post you have moe of these Melies gems added to it. How many more of these do you have? Let me know when you run out of 'em so I can start making my dvds.

Ok' I see you have them all up now. Thank you. You have done us all a great service by uploading these. Georges Melies was a pioneer of the motion picture industry. If not for him, I believe, many later movies we've come to enjoy would never have been made. He was definitely the father of special effects and trick photography.
